WEN Yi-duo's research on the bibliography of social history conceived in Zhouyi

WEN Yi-duo plays an important role in the studies of history exposed in Zhouyi. His Zhouyi yi zhen lei zuan 周易义证类纂, An Edition of the Classification of Different Events in Zhouyi, and Zhou yi zai ji 周易杂记, Miscellanies on Zhouyi, relate to the studies of bibliography of social history~ His Zhou yi xin lun 周易新论, New Views on Zhouyi,is a theoretic preparation of background for the studies of social history in Zhouyi; His Zhou yi zi pu 周易字谱,The Graphology in Zhouyi, and Zhou yi fen yun yin de 周易分韵引得,The Prosody in Zhouyi, are a long compilation of the paradigm of rhymes in Zhouyi, a preparation of materials for a graphic and prosodic interpretations for the bibliography of social history in Zhouyi. His studies of Zhouyi constitute a basic structure and content of the bibliography of ancient China's social history. Meanwhile,owing to his comprehensive utilization of not only the approach of traditional Chinese textual research but also those of western sociology, cultural anthropology, semiotics, semantics, and hermeneutics to guarantee the authenticity of historical data,his achievements are of great value for the studies of semiotics, semantics, hermeneutics and culture anthropology embraced in Zhouyi.
