Implementation process and existing problems of equalization of basic public health services in China

This article analyzed the historical evolution of equalization of public health services,summarized the implementation process of the program and cleared about the point that the service should be expanded along with the level of socio-economic development and the growing health demands of residents. After then,through a literature review of 135 papers published from 2008 to 2013,five kinds of problems during the implementation of public health services were summarized as follows :misunderstanding of the conception of basic public health service,ill-defined responsibilities,poor coordination,inadequate supporting conditions,and lack of standardization.
