Abstract

In order to know the disinfection property of a compound hydrogen peroxide disinfectant, suspension quantitative germicidal test and animal test method were used to carry out experimental observation on its germicidal efficacy and toxicity. Results: The average reduction factor(log_(10)) of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli exposed to the compound disinfectant containing hydrogen peroxide 30 g/L for 5 min was 5.0.Wiping disinfection with the disinfectant containing hydrogen peroxide 30 g/L for 10 min reduced Escherichia coli on table surface by a logarithm of 3.00. The LD_(50) of the compound hydrogen peroxide disinfectant in mouse acute oral toxicity test was 3160 mg/kg·bw,indicating 1ow toxicity. In the test with five-fold use concentration, the LD_(50) was 5000 mg/kg·bw,indicating pactically non-toxic.Its stock solution did not irritate rabbit skin and did not cause micronucleus formation of mouse bone marrow polychromatic erythrocytes. Conclusions: The compound hydrogen peroxide disinfectant had good germicidal efficacy. It presented low toxicity and did not irritate skin.
