Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression and clinical significance of Survivin and VEGF in gastric carcinoma and precancerous lesions. Methods: Immunohistochemical S-P method was used to detect the expression of Survivin and VEGF in 62 cases of gastric carcinoma,25 cases of atypical dysplasia and 25 cases of normal gastric tissue. Results: The expression rate of Survivin and VEGF in gastric carcinoma were higher than that in atypical dysplasia and normal gastric tissue(P0.05).The expression of Survivin significantly related with TNM Stage(P0.05).The expression rate of VEGF significantly related with cell differentiation, lymph node metastasis, depth of invasion and TNM Stage(P0.05).The expression of Survivin had obvious association with that of VEGF(P0.05).Conclusion:Our results suggest that Survivin and VEGF play important roles in the genesis and development of gastric carcinoma, which could be the index of prognostic evaluation and determination of gastric carcinoma biological behavior.
