Abstract

Objective To approach a stable, reliable method for establishment of acute myocardial infarction model in rats and to explore its influence on cardiac function and arrhythmia. Methods 40 SD rats were ligated the left anterior descending coronary artery and caused acute myocardial infarction, then Randomly divided them into sham operation group(group C),high(group H) and low ligation group(group L).Changes of cardiac function and arrhythmias were observed during ischemia-reperfusion.Effect of the infarct was determined by TTC staining and the pathological changes were observed by HE staining. Results The functional parameters of left ventricle in group H were significantly lower than those of group C after reperfusion(P0.05).The cardiac function in group L was relatively stable.Arrhythmia score in group H(MI range was 48%) was higher than that in group L(MI range was 36%)(P0.05).There were no significant difference between group H and group L in mortality rate during ischemia(P0.05).Conclusion The low ligation model of acute myocardial infarction had relatively stable cardiac function and it was an effective method.
