Abstract

Objective:To improve the recongnition of histological variants of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans(DFSP).Methods:Thirty-six cases of DFSP were followed up and the clinical pathological datas were analyzed. Among them,13 cases were performed with immunohistochemical staining. Results:Microscopically,All 36 cases had typical storiform structure,of which, fibrosarcoma areas were found in 6 cases, myxoid areas in 3 cases, pigments in the tumours in 2 cases and desmoid area in 1 case.CD34 and Vimentin were all positive in 13 cases which were performed immunohistochemical staining. Conclusions:It is very useful to diagnose DFSP by grasping the characteristic histoligical variants of DFSP and the marker of CD34 by immunohistochemical staining.
