Minichromosome Maintenance Proteins and Replication

Abstract

The family of minichromosome maintenance proteins is an important member of replication licensing system and is composed of eight subunits.This family expresses periodically to regulate DNA replication and ensure DNA replication once and only once in every cell cycle.Mcm1 and Mcm10 do not belong to the former, but their function is associated with replication.This paper summarizes the roles of minichromosome maintenace proteins in DNA replication.
