Effects of Argatroban Combined with Batroxobin on Treating Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke

Objective: To evaluate the effects and safety of argatroban combined with batroxobin on treating patients with acute ischemic stroke.Methods: Seventy-two patients with acute ischemic stroke were randomly divided into batroxobin treatment group and combined treatment group.The patients in the batroxobin treatment group were treated with batroxobin treatment in addition to routine treatment,and in the combined treatment group with argatroban combined with batroxobin.The fibrinogen(FIB),prothrombin time(PT),active partial thromboplastin time(APTT) were detected and European Stroke Scale(ESS) were used to assess the neurologic impairment of patients at beginning and 3,7,10,14,and 21 days after treatment.Results: Level of FIB in the combined treatment group was lower than that in the batroxobin treatment group at 7,10,and 14 days post treatment(P0.05).PT and APTT in the combined treatment group were significantly longer than those in the batroxobin treatment group at 7 and 10 days post treatment(P0.01) and longer than that in the batroxobin treatment group at 14 days post treatment(P0.05).ESS score in the combined treatment group was higher than that in the batroxobin treatment group at 10 days post treatment(P0.05) and significantly higher than those in the batroxobin treatment group at 14 and 21 days post treatment(P0.01).No adverse reactions were detected in the both groups.Conclusion: Argatroban combined with batroxobin is an effective and safe treatment for patients with acute ischemic stroke.
