Abstract
Objective To investigate NOD2 expression in liver of rats with obstructive jaundice and its significance. Methods Using the model of obstructive jaundice in rats, serum alanine transminase(ALT),total billirubin (TB) and hepatic NOD2 mRNA expression were examined. Results Four, seven and fourteen days after obstructive jaundice, the hepatic injury appeared with the elevation of serum ALT,total bilirubin(TB).The expression of hepatic NOD2 mRNA significantly increased on 7 and 14 days after obstructive jaundice. Conclusion In obstructive jaundice, the expression of hepatic NOD2 mRNA can be significantly high-regulated,which may play a role in hepatic inflammatory injury.
