Zhang Zhidong was an important minister in the late Qing Dynasty,in order to keep China from being invaded,esperically on the sovereignty and economy,be insisted strongly that the govemment should fight against imperialist countries with mil- itary forces.He started developing lots of industries and reformed in various fields.In fact,what he have done had pushed China onto the way to modemize,although his intention was only to make Qing Dynasty can benefit from it.All his life, he was full of patriotic enthusiasm and showed noble national conscience.We can say he dedicated himself to his mother land.
