Abstract

Wheat straw was pretreated in solution of sodium hydroxide, sulphuric acid and 1,2-ethylenediamine. The changes of components and structure of different solution were investigated. The change of crystallinity was characterized by X-ray diffraction. Results showed that wheat straw pretreated in solution of sodium hydroxide-sulphuric acid had the most decrease of crystallinity. Pretreated wheat straw can dissolve in NaOH / urea / thiourea aqueous solution. The dissolving property of wheat straw pretreated was compared. Results showed that wheat straw pretreated in solution of sodium hydroxide-sulphuric acid had the best ability of dissolution.
