Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)with coronary stenosis degree in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods Latex-enhanced immunity transmission turbidity method was applied to measuring the serum hs-CRP concentrations in both 100 CHD patients confirmed by coronary angiography(CAG)and 40 controls with normal CAG findings, and Gensini score system was utilized to quantitatively assess the coronary lesion extent in CHD patients. Finally, the correlation of hs-CRP levels and Gensini scores was analyzed. Results Serum hs-CRP concentration gradually increased in single-vessel,double-vessel to multi-vessel lesion groups, with significantly higher elevations as compared with that of the control group, showing statistical differences between them. And serum hs-CRP level in CHD patients was positively relative to Gensini score(r=0.316,P0.01).Conclusion Serum hs-CRP level may be positively associated with coronary lesion degree, serving as one of the indicators for assessing coronary stenosis degree.
