Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the current situation and the developmental trend of the use of oral antihypertensive drugs in our hospital. METHODS: The oral antihypertensive drugs used in our hospital during 20072009 were analyzed retrospectively in terms of drug varieties, consumption quantity, consumption sum,DDDs and average daily cost etc. RESULTS: The consumption quantity of oral antihypertensive drugs in our hospital showed an upward tendency. AngiotensinⅡ receptor blocking agents, calcium antagonists and ACEI were the first line drugs. The consumption quantity of angiotensin receptor blocking agents and its percentages increased year by year, however, the consumption quantity and proportion of ACEI showed a downward trend. CONCLUSION: The utilization structure of oral antihypertensive drugs in our hospital is basically reasonable.
