Abstract
Purpose:To evaluate the diagnostic value of enhanced spiral CT scans in the diagnosis of traumatic renal trauma.Materials and Methods:The image data of plain spiral CT and enhanced CT scans in 28 cases with traumatic renal trauma were retrospectively analyzed. Results:Of the 28 cases, the diagnoses of renal trauma on plain spiral CT scans were certain in 20 cases and uncertain in 5 cases. No abnormalities were found in 3 cases(sensitivity 89.2%,specificity 71.4%);All of the patients were diagnosed as renal trauma after enhanced spiral CT scans(sensitivity 100%,specificity 100%).Conclusion:Enhanced spiral CT scans is important in diagnosis of traumatic renal trauma and can obviously improve the diagnostic accuracy.
