Abstract
Recently, the great achievements have been gotten on the technology of long wall top coal caving in China. It has been regarded how to increase the coal drawing ratio in long wall top coal caving working face. It is the key of increasing top coal drawing ratio to research the forms of top coal caving and the acting controls. Based on the analysis of the influencing factors of top coal caving forms and physical mechanics characteristics of caving top coal, the methods of controlling top coal caving have been put forward.
