Further CT analysis of sacroiliac ankylosing spondylitis

Objective:To promote the knowledge of CT characters of sacroiliac ankylosing spondylitis,especially about the easily confused features in early stages.Methods:CT images of 88 sacroiliac ankylosing spondylitis cases were analyzed,and contrasted with another 50 CT scans of asymptomatic sacroiliac joints.All the CT images were achieved by thin thickness scans.Results:A series of typical changes were found in different stages of sacroiliac ankylosing spondylitis,include the joints and subchondral cancellous bones.Conclusion:Destroy of the sacroiliac joint surface is the critical feature of sacroiliac ankylosing spondylitis in the CT diagnosis.The diagnostic value of CT is sure when the stage of lesions is Ⅱ or beyond.
