Abstract

Objective To discuss the CT features of sacroiliac joint in patients with ankylosing spondylitis(AS)in order to differentiate AS from other diseases.Methods The CT features of sacroilitis were analyzed retrospectively in 40 patients with AS.Results The CT features included most involvement in iliac side,cartilage calcification,joint space narrowing or widening,articular surface and undersurface erosion,and ligament calcification.Conclusion CT scanning in sacroiliac articulation is helpful to improve the early diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis.
