Abstract
Moral indifference is a kind of moral numbness, it is the outcome of conflict of interests in the society. Our country is now on the stage of transition on economy, social structures and beliefs, and during this period, many problems appeared in the moral field and moral indifference is one of the extrusive problems which will lead to the disappearance of moral sense, the reduction of moral sentiment, the loss of moral responsibility, the missing of moral control and so on. Moral indifference can be divided into two types: the witness' indifference and the recipients' indifference. The main reasons are the conflict of interests in the society, the effect of the transition environment and the indifference of education. In order to get rid of moral indifference, we must establish a comprehensive system of moral reward and punishment; to enhance the construction of public opinions; to strengthen the citizens' social moral sentiment and to continue the moral education.
