Survey on Acceptability of Female Condom among Female Sex Workers of Panzhihua City in 2006

[Objective]To understand the acceptability of female condom and their determinants among female sex workers(FSW).[Methods]Some FSW were selected to try to use free female condom,investigation was conducted before and after the use of free condom in 2006.[Results]The rate refused to accept female condom was 1.75% among 458 FSW.One month later,among the 85 female condom users,55.29% of FSW thought the female condom looks bad,57.65% thought it's inconvenient to use and 56.47% thought the customers don't like it.The rate was 17.65% and 36.47% that the female condom can cause noise and pain.83.53% of FSW like the male condom more.[Conclusion]Now it was much difficult to promote the female condom.
