Effects of nursing intervention on general surgery patients with postoperative pain

Objective To observe and analyze the general surgical nursing intervention on the impact of postoperative pain.Methods Sixty-eight patients as the observation objects from January 2010 to January 2011 were selected and randomly divided into two groups of intervention and control groups with 34 patients in each.The control group was given conventional general care and the intervention group was given systematic nursing interventions,including psychological care,ward environment,the application of analgesic drugs and other aspects of care.Two sets of VAS scores and nursing intervention effects were analyzed.Results After taking systematic nursing interventions,the intervention group had significantly lower VAS scores,and lower level was more significant than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion For general surgery patients with postoperative pain,the implementation of systematic nursing interventions can significantly improve the patient's pain and pain control awareness and reduce the patient's anxiety,relieve pain and promote speedy recovery after surgery.
