Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the feasibility and superiority of topical anesthesia in surgery treatment of glaucoma with phacoemulsification.Methods: Surgeries were performed in 81 cases(96 eyes) of glaucoma accompanied with phaco and Iola under topical anesthesia with 0.5% Alcanin eye drops.Results: The application of topical anesthesia obtained a satisfactory anesthesia effect,better visual acuity and intraocular pressure.Conclusion: Topical anesthesia is effective,safe and simple anesthesia alternative in routine anti-glaucoma surgery in the patients accompanied with phaco and Iol.
