Research on disaster and regulation measures of Ω-caving bank at river channel

The large scale Ω caving bank at the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River frequently threatens the safety of the flood control, and the lives and properties of the people along the both banks. In order to study the treatment measures of the Ω caving bank in river channel, the paper analyzes the features, the damage and the causes of the river bank failure. Moreover, a more effective counter measure, namely the scheme of sinking timber dam to aid deposition to harness the large scale Ω caving bank, is presented in the paper.
