Characteristics and Countermeasures Analysis of College English Teaching in the New Period

With the change of social changes and the times, English talent needs and requirements have changed, college English teaching has changed. This requires us in college English teaching, the ongoing reform, improve teaching efficiency and quality of teaching college English. This paper analyzes the characteristics of college English teaching in the new period, mainly in the boundaries between professional and college English with English, basic English the importance of getting smaller and smaller, college English increasingly important, more diversified and specialized college English sex. Secondly, to explore the new period to improve English teaching level measures, including improving individualized teaching, strengthen the oral teaching, improve the education system, and a combination of theoretical teaching and application of teaching.
