Diagnosis and Treatment of 89 cases of Nipple Discharge

Objective To conclude main diagnostic and treatment methods of which main symptom is nippledischarge. Methods Review and analyse the whole process of 89 cases of nipple discharge patient.Results It showed 29 cases of intraductal papillomas(including 3 cases of papillomas) (32.6%), 27cases of hyperplasia of mammary glands(30.3%), 13 cases of breast tube cancer (14.6%), 8 cases ofmammitis(9%), 6 cases of dilatation of breast tube(6.7%), and 6 cases of others(6.7%).ConclusionThe main causes of nipple discharge are intraductal papillomas, hyperplasia of mammary glands ,dilatation of breast tube,and breast tube cancer. Cytological examination of nipple discharge is thefirst choice to diagnose the cause of nipple discharge. Near infrared scanning diagnosis is alsohelpful.
