Abstract

[Objective]To explore the clinical features and diagnosis method of nipple discharge.[Methods]Retrospective analysis were performed to analyze the clinical data of 60 cases with nipple discharge treated in our mammary gland department from October 2004 to October 2008.[Results]18 cases with breast intraductal papilloma were found 60 cases accounted for accounted for 30.00%,26 cases with breast duct ectasia accounted for 43.33%,9 cases with breast cystic hyperplasia accounted for 15%,and 7 cases with breast cancer accounted for 11.67%.[Conclusion]Most of patients with nipple discharge were benign lesions, but the diagnosis of breast cancer could not be neglected. Nipple discharge cytology examination, combination of color ultrasonography and molybdenum palladium X-ray inspection galactography could have high diagnostic value in identifying the etiological factors of nipple discharge. Molybdenum palladium catheter angiography X-ray examination is the most valuable method of diagnosing nipple discharge.
