Abstract
Objective To investigate the medical resistance of pseudomonas aeruginosa resisting to imipenem. Methods 136 strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa resisting to imipenem were identified and performed the antibiotic sensitivity test by VITKE-2 system. The antibiotic included amikacin, gentamycin, ceftazidime ceftazidime/azithromycin piperacillin,piperacillin/tazobactam.To analyze the medical resistance of 134 strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa sensitive to imipenem in contrast. Results The rates of sensitivity to these six kinds of antibiotics were amikacin 20.6%,gentamycin 19.1%,ceftazidime/azithromycin 70.6%,ceftazidime 27.9%,piperacillin 63.2%,piperacillin/tazobactam 72.1% respectively. These sensitivity rates were apparently lower than the rates of the strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa sensitive to imipenem which were 32.8%,68.7%,92.5%,65.7%,88.1% and 89.6% respectively. There were significant differences during the five kinds of antibiotics(P 0.05) except amikacin(P 0.05) between two kinds of strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa. Conclusion Ceftazidime/azithromycin,piperacillin/tazobactam,and piperacillin would have better effect in treating the infection aroused by pseudomonas aeruginosa resisting to imipenem. But amikacin, gentamycin and ceftazidime are not recommended.
