Abstract
Objective To investigate the antibiotic resistance of pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from our hospital during July 2004 to June 2005.Methods Disc diffusion method was used to determine the susceptibility of 191 strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa to 10 antibiotics,WHONET 5.3 was applied for analysis.Results Among 191 strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa,resistance rates to piperacillin-tazobactam,imipenem,ceftazidime,cefepime and amikacin were less than 30%.The resistance rate to imipenem reached 22.5%.Resistance rates of isolates from ICU patients to piperacillin,piperacillin-tazobactam,imipenem,ceftazidime,cefepime and amikacin were higher than those from non-ICU patients,and the difference was between 21.7 and 42.6 percentage(P0.05).Conclusion The status of resistance of pseudomonas aeruginosa must be investigated,in order to provide evidence for clinical rational drug utilization.
