Clinical Observation on Matrix Acupuncture in Treating 60 Patients with Abnormal Blood Pressure

Objective:To verify curative effects of matrix acupuncture in treating abnormal blood pressure.Method: Matrix acupuncture was modified based on syndrome and applied to 30 cases of hypertension and 30 patients with hypotension,once per day,the patients were acupunctured for six times and rested for one day.They were treated for 15 to 45 consecutive times till blood pressure returned to the normal range.Result: Hypotension group was superior to hypertension group in curative effects and the difference between both groups showed no statistical meaning(P0.05).Systolic pressure and diastolic pressure of hypertension groups decreased remarkably after treating,increased of hypotension group,there was a significant difference within one group between before and after treating(P0.05).Conclusion: Matrix acupuncture is better remedy for abnormal blood pressure manifesting as hypertension and hypotension.
