Abstract
Objective:To study the efficacy of acupuncture at Quchi(LI 11) and Xinqi points(between suliao and shuigou, not officially named yet) on blood pressure and renin, angiotensin andaldosterone in the plasma of intraoperative hypertension animals. Methods:Hypertension animal models were treated by acupuncture. Results:The mean arterial pressure of the hypertensive rabbits decreased after they were treated by acupuncture for 5 minutes,30 minutes and 60 minutes. The tail arterial pressure of the hypertensive SD rats treated by acupuncture decreased to normal level. The decreasing degree of the hypertensive rabbits treated by acupuncture for 30 minutes and 60 minutes were significant and returned to normal level. The renin and angiotensinⅡin the plasma of rats reduced. Conclusion:The acupuncture of Quchi(LI 11) and Xinqi points have a rapid and abiding hypertensive effect in treating intraoperative hypertension, which control blood pressure in a reasonable scope and maintain stable blood pressure in operation.
