Breeding and application of late indica hybrid rice combination Boyou 315

Boyou 315 is a new photo-sensitive type combination,which was bred through a crossbreeding between Bo A and optional restorer line Ce 315.It is characterized by strong tillering ability,strong tolerance to excessive fertilization rate and lodging,medium cold tolerance and good grain quality.The whole growth duration is about 122 days,the effective panicle per ha is 2.7-3.0 million,the grains per panicle were 142,and the seed-setting rate is 79.8%,and the 1000-grain weight is 22.3g.The general yield of Boyou 315 is 7.5 ton/hm~2 and the highest yield was 8.55 ton/hm~2.A total cultivated area of Boyou 315 was over 33,000 hm~2 in South of Guangxi by the year 2005.
