Abstract

Both the intensity of hazard-causing factors and the vulnerability of hazard-bearing entities determine the degree of damage.Buildings are the main hazard-bearing entities in seismic hazard system.The states of Gansu rural buildings are reviewed through the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake,it is found that most of buildings are poorly designed and constructed and donot have earthquake fortification,so they usually have poorly aseismatic ability.Therefore,there are many problems of the Gansu rural buildings.Consequently,it is proposed in this paper that laws and regulations are optimized,human resource system of rural management for rural construction is enhanced and fostered,management system of building materials for rural buildings is strengthened and architectural composition,materials,form of structure and construction technology are improved.Through these measures,the future development of construction works for Gansu rural buildings will be improved.
