Clinical Study of Supplementing Qi and Nourishing Yin Decoction on 20 Caese of Impaired Glucose Tolerance(IGT) with Anti-After Ovariotomy

Abstract

The blood glucose,Serum lipidmia,blood pressure,Serum insulin、C peptide、Sex hormone and insulin sensitivity index were measnred in 12 healthy women after menopause and 20 patients,before and after whome were treated by the supplementing qi and nourishing yin decoction,of TGT with deficiency of both qi and yin after ovariotomy.Results ①The levels of fasting serum insulin、C peptide、triglyceride、blood glucose in TGT group were higher than that of Control group (P0.01);but serum estradiol level,insulin sensitivity index in IGT group were lower than that of Control group(P0.01);②After treatment,the difference of serum estradiol was not significant(P0.01),the insulin sensitivity index increased(P0.01),thelevels of fasting serum insulin、C peptide、triglyceride、follical stimulating hormone,blood prssure and 2 hour postprandial serum insulin、C peptide、blood glucose declined(P0.01) in IGT group.Conclusions ①Anti insulin is the pathology physiological primary of deficient syndrome of both qi and yinfor IGT patients after ovariotomy;②it is the clinic pharmacological effect on the supplementing qi the nourishing yin decoction to improve anti insulin;③it is the expression of integrative regulating effect on supplementing qi and nourishing yin decoction to human body to affect the endocrine on hypothalamic pituitary.
