Evaluation of Color Doppler Sonography in the Diagnosis of Budd-Chiari Syndrome

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of Color Doppler Sonography in the diagnosis of the Budd-Chiari syndrome.Methods Nineteen cases with Budd-Chiari syndrome by inferior vena cava were analyzed retrospectively.Results We observed that retrohepatic inferior vena cava in all cases were obstructed,among them 16 involved hepatic vines.Of the 19 cases,6 were diaphragm;5 were embolism;and 8 were stenosis.Conclusions Color Doppler sonography has great applicable value in the diagnosis of Budd-Chiari syndrome .
