Abstract
Perovskite oxides LaCoO3 was prepared by stearic acid sol-gel method.Using a luminous Hg lamp as irradiator, the degradation experiments of malachite green were carried out.The influences of reaction time, amount of catalyst, initial concentration of malachite green,pH of solution on degradation rate were investigated. The results show that photocatalytic activity of LaCoO3 is high and the degradation rate of malachite green was up to 90.1% with 0.15 g catalyst in 100 mL,10 mg/L malachite green degradating for 2 h,the degradation rate increased with increasing pH of solution and adding H2O2.
