Abstract
Objective To establish a method of headspace capillary GC for the determination of residual solvents in tigecycline. Methods The GC method was conducted on a PEG-20M capillary column(30 m×0.53 mm,1 μm)with procedural column temperature control.Nitrogen was used as the carrier gas and FID as the detector. Results The four residual solvents(diethyl ether, methanol, dichloromethane, and isopropanol) were completely separated, and the linearities were fairly good(r0.999).The recoveries were 99.4%,99.3%,97.5%,and 98.8%,respectively.The limits of detection were 0.42,0.61,1.53 and 0.65 μg·mL-1,respectively.Conclusion The established method is sensitive and accurate, and can be used for the determination of residual solvents in tigecycline.
