Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between serum uric acid level and coronary heart disease. Methods According to the results of coronary angiography,187 cases were divided into coronary heart disease group and control group.Uric acid level and coronary angiography results were analyzed. Results Uric acid level was significantly higher in patients with coronary heart disease than that in control group(P0.05),and was the highest in patients with multi-vessel disease. With binary logistic regression analysis, the elder age, diabetes mellitus and serum uric acid level were the independent risk factors for coronary heart disease. Conclusion Serum uric acid concentration is correlated to the occurrence, development and degree of coronary heart disease. It is probably an independent risk factor for coronary heart disease.
