Analysis on chemical constituents of volatile oils from zingiberis rhizoma

Abstract

Objective:The chemical components of volatile oil component from zingiberis rhizoma were studied.Methods:The volatile oil was extracted from zingiberis rhizoma by steam distillation method and the chemical com-ponents of volatile oil were analyzed by GC-MS. Result:The chemical constituents were analyzed by NIST mass spectrometry data, their relative contents were determined by the method of area normalization. In this study 59 compounds were identified,which represented 88.238% of the total volatile oil from zingiberis rhizoma. 1R-.alpha.-Pinene, Camphene, beta.- Phellandr ene,4-methyl-1-(1-methylethyl)-bicyclo [3.1.0] hex-2-ene, eucalyptol,cyclohexene, 1-methyl-4-(1-methylethylidene)-,Linalool, 4-(1-methylethyl)-2-cyclohexen-1-on and so on.Conclusion: The experimental results provide evidence to make use of zingiberis rhizoma. Results of trial can pro-vide reference for further study of pharmacodynamic material basis of zingiberis rhizoma.
