Abstract
Objective:To observe and compare levels of serum bilirubin and bilirubin level in cerebrospinal fluid of newborn with pathological jaundice.Methods:59newborns with pathological jaundice admitted to our hospital were enrolled as observation group, and 59newborns without jaundice who were admitted to detect serum and cerebrospinal fluidas were selected as control group. Then the serum bilirubin and cerebrospinal fluid bilirubin levels of two groups were compared, and the detected results of patients in the observation group were compared among those with different severity and caused by different etiologies were compared too. Results:The serum bilirubin and cerebrospinal fluid bilirubin levels of the observation group were all higher than those of control group;within the observation group, the detected levels of severe cases were higher than those of mild and slight cases, and levels of mild cases were higher than slight cases.Besides, the detection levels of cases getting breast-feeding were all lower than those caused by other pathological etiologies, and serum bilirubin levels were all higher than bilirubin levels in cerebrospinal fluid, all showing significant significance(Pall0.05).Conclusion:The serum bilirubin and cerebrospinal fluid bilirubin of newborn with pathological jaundice are increased, and the detected levels are affected by severity and etiology of the disease.
