Change in Postoperative Serum Bilirubin Level and its Influencing Factors in Patients with Primary Liver Cancer

Objective To discuss clinical factors correlated with higher postoperative serum bilirubin level in the patients with primary liver cancer. Methods In this study,92 postoperative cases of primary liver cancer were divided into two groups of high serum bilirubin and normal bilirubin according to serum bilirubin level during two weeks after operation,and then discuss the effect factors of postoperative bilirubin level. Results There were 24 cases of higher postoperative serum bilirubin,and 68 cases of normal serum bilirubin level. There was a significant difference in the serum bilirubin level between two groups at 1,3,5 and 7 days after operation(P0.05 or P0.01) . The serum bilirubin level on day 14 was the same to that of the post operation. The preoperative serum bilirubin level in the high serum bilirubin group was higher than that in the normal serum bilirubin group(P0.05) . There was a significant difference in Child grade beween the two groups(P0.05) ,and the operation time,blood loss and liver portal blocking means were correlated with the postoperative serum bilirubin level. Conclusion Preoperative liver function,operation time,liver portal blocking means and blood loss are all the influencing factors of postoperative serum bilirubin level.
