Abstract
Based on land using investigation information and satellite pictures,this paper designs some land utilization degree change models to shape the spatial pattern of land use change and its driving forces in Qingdao City from 1990to 2006.It is certain that land use pattern of this period is characterized by rapid changes in Qingdao City.Results show that land for residential areas and mining area,forest area,traffic land area and other substantial increase,and farmland area,garden land and unused land are significantly reduced.This paper further analyzes the impact of the dynamic changes of land use of driving factors in Qingdao.There are many influences of Qingdao land use types as landform,regional position,economic development,urbanization and industrialization,and the macro policy of the central and provincial governments.
