Yu Dafu Studies in the 20th Century History of Modern Chinese Literature

There have been numerous studies on Yu Dafu in the academic circle,yet explorations from the perspective of literary history are few.In fact,the relationship between Yu Dafu and the literary history can not only reflect the basic trend of the studies on him but also display the development of the entire modern Chinese literary history.Therefore,such a research perspective is of great significance and value.On the basis of the modern Chinese literary studies of the 20th century,this paper divides five stages-the beginning period,formation period,stagnation period,turning period and steady period-longitudinally to outline the changes of Yu Dafu's status in the history of modern Chinese literature,and combs the interactive relations between the undulating modern Chinese Literature and Yu Dafu studies.Some views on relative issues about the study are expressed.
