Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of sodium ferulate on the level of urinary protein in patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods 18 cases of diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into the treatment group treated with routine therapy and intraveneous drip of 300mg of sodium ferulate, once a day,for 15 days and the contrast group treated with routine therapy. The levels of 24-hour urinary protein, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, cholesterol and fasting bloodglucose as well as the clearance rate of internal creatinine were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of urinary protein in both groups were reduced obviously, more obviously in the treatment group than in the contast group(P0.01).The level of internal creatinine was reduced more obviously than before the the treatments in the contrast group(P0.01),while increased more obviously than before the treatment in the treatment groupand than in the contrast group(P0.01).Conclusion Sodium ferulate can be used to reduce the level of urinary protein in patients with diabetic nephropathy.
