Abstract
Objective To study the CT features of atypical hepatic abscess(AHA). Methods CT features and clinical data of Atypical hepatic Abscess were retrospectively studied in 13 cases. Results AHA was found in the suppurative inflammation stage or the initial abscessation stage of hepatic abscess. In plain CT scan, the abscesses usually exhibited as hypodense mass.In enhancement scan, the following signs should be noticed:①Mass diminution sign;②Honeycomb sign;③Rosette sign;④Peripheral congestion sign;⑤Delayed enhancement sign. Conclusion The plain CT features of AHA is nonspecific. The enhanced CT especially the dynamic enhancement CT have some features.Diagnosis depends on CT features and clinical data, the treatment with antibiotic therapy helps to differentiate these diseases.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
