Abstract
Objective To assess the value of dynamic enhanced CT scan in the diagnosis of hepatic abscess. Methods CT manifestations of 26 patients with atypical hepatic abscess were retrospectively summarized. Results The plain CT of atypical hepatic abscess showed low density.Around the lesion of arterial phase had transient hepatic enhancement in the enhanced CT,with mild enhancement in the lesions separated.Portal phase showed persistent enhancement, and delay range of lesions was decreased. Conclusion Dynamic enhanced CT scan is specific and valuable to improve detection and differential diagnosis of atypical hepatic abscess.
