Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical significances of the expressions of p27 and p53 genes in the nonsmall-cell lung cancer and their correlation with the cancer.Methods:Immunohistochemical staining was used to determine the expressions of p27 and p53 in 10 cases of normal lung tissues and 56 nonsmall-cell lung cancer.Results:The positive rate of p27 expression in NSCLC was 39.29% compared with 80.00% in normal lung tissue. The expression of p27 was correlated to the degree of differention of cancer. The expression of p53 was related to lymphatic metastasis.There was obvious corelation between p27 and p53.Conclusions:The results suggested that p27 gene was related to degree of differention of nonsmall-cell lung cancer and p53 to lymphatic metastasis.To some extent, p27and p53 cooperated in the process of cancer genesis and progression.
