Clinical analysis of hernia treated with mesh-plug tension-free hernia repair

Objective To investigate the prevention and treatment of complications inguinal hernia treated with mesh-plug tension-free hernia repair.Methods To select 116 patients of inguinal hernia underwent tension-free repair with mesh-plug(Company Bard of America)from may,1995 to Nov.2007.Results Following up visit for six months-one year,no death,The post operative complication,included infection 1 case(0.9%),the incision hematoma 1 case(0.9%),the intractable pain 1 case(0.9%),the local gelosis and foreign body sensation 2 cases(1.7%),the edema of scrotum and fluidify 2 cases(1.7%),the chorditis and orchiditis 1 case(0.9%).Conclusions To traditional hernia repair,mesh-plug tension-free hernia repair was demonstrated the advantages,good operative skills and appropriate post operative managements are the keys of prevention and cure for inguinal hernia post-operative complications.
