Abstract

This study investigated the effects of glutamine on the amount of blood cells of pigs in weaning stress. In the trial,96 weaned piglets(28±1)with average weight of 6.16±0.13 kg were assigned to 6 groups. The piglets were fed diets supplemented with 0%,0.3%,0.6%,0.9%,1.2%,1.5% glutamine, respectively. The test lasted 21 days. The experiment showed that the dietary supplements of glutamine increased the amount of red cells and the thrombocyte, deceased the amount of white cells and acidophilic granulocyte. The dietary supplement of 1.2% glutamine was the best.
