Abstract

Objective To observe the forming process of the candida albicans biofilm in the root canal. And according to observing the influence of DNaseⅠ to the formation of the biofilm,to study the function of extracellular DNA in the forming process of the candida albicans biofilm in the root canal. Methods Biofilms were formed on the 2.0cm2 polymethylmethacrylate strips, and when the biofilm formed in the different time,DNaseⅠProcessing was used to deal with AO/EB dyes. The biofilm structure was observed by CLSM in different incubate time, and the growth vigour of the biofilm within before and after of the role of DNase Ⅰ was studied by quantitative analysis under XTT reduciton conditions. Results The formation of the bilfilms was greatly inhibited in DNaseⅠin the root canal. Conclusion The extracellular DNA forming process plays an important role in the candida albicans biofilm.
