Abstract
Objective To evaluate of the efficacy and safety of adjunctive Montelukast in children with difficult asthma. Methods 78 patients with difficult asthma were randomly divided into two groups. Both groups were given basement therapy, experimental group was added with treatment of Montelukast.10 mg every night.2 weeks as a course. The clinical efficacy was evaluated by clinical improvement seven days after the treatment. Results The total effective rate and cure rate in experimental group were significantly better than that in control group(P 0.05).Conclusion Adjunctive Montelukast used for treatment of children with difficult asthma can significantly enhance clinical effect and reduce complications,so it deserved application and promotion in clinical work.
