A comparative observation of the efficacy between fluoxetine combined with clonazepam and fluoxetine combined with placebo in treatmet depression.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of fluoxetine combined with clonazepam in the treatment of depression.Method 60 patients with depression were randomly assigned into two groups treated respectively,such as fluoxetine combined with clonazepam and fluoxetine combined with placebo for 8 weeks in order to evaluate efficacy and side effects with HAMD and TESS after 1st,2nd,3rd,6th,8th week.Results Study group took effects after average(11.7±4.6)day.The reduction rates of HAMD scores were significantly lower than that in control group after 2nd,3rd week respectively.There were no differences of scores of TESS between the two groups patients.Conclusion Fluoxetine combined with clonazepam took effects early in treatment depression and reduced suicidal rate and some side effects.
